Positioning and capability development

It started with a five-week contract. It ended in three years, an agency twice the size, five new capabilities and a client list that included Porsche and Amazon.

In 2018, I received a call from a former colleague (Hi Luci!), who asked me to pop over to Germany to look into building an editorial team. It was supposed to be for five weeks. I extended (and extended and extended) my time with Proximity Worldwide, working with some very bright people to grow the agency’s capability and help drive a growth and change agenda. Over the three years, I was involved in the following:

  • Writing the agency’s narrative and positioning

  • Developing the agency’s service offering and operational ways of working

  • Took a lead creative, strategic and operational role on multiple winning pitches

  • Functioned (in varying capacities) as general manager, director of creative strategy, creative director, social lead, director of experience, and creative
